CCA MS Position on the Salt Dome CCA MS is fighting to Protect our Speckled Trout  lowering of the size limit on Spotted Sea trout.  The CMR totally ignored the DMR's Biologists recommendation to keep the 14 inch size limit and voted to drop the Spotted Sea Trout size limit to 13 inches.  This was against the DMR Scientist's recommendations and is against the mandate the commission was set up under. A good time was had by all.    Winners in each category received $300 for First Place and $130 for Second Place:       Speckled Trout (3 fish stinger): 1st - Johnny Griffith, 11.2 pounds        2nd - Johnny Marquez, 10.10 pounds         Redfish (one fish, 18 - 27" slot): 1st - Scott White, 6.55 pounds   2nd - Perry Wilson, 5.45 pounds   Flounder: 1st - Scott White, 1.45 Pounds           2nd - Hershel McQueen, .90 pounds   The CCA MS Bay Chapter Live Catch Spotted Seatrout Tournament To Support the GCRL was held Saturday, December 8th, 2007 At the Bay Marina was a great success!
